Starport GE WIndows 8 Full Screen

On Windows 8 starport runs fine with normal fps in windows mode but when I switch to full screen I get less than 5 fps. How can I get normal fps in full screen mode?

Format the hard drive and install Windows 7, Win 8 is a POS and many have had this issue.


Or run it in Win 7 mode.

I actually like it.
I tried running with windows 7 mode. It doesnt work
Starport on windows 8 full screen used to work fine on a different laptop i had.

From what I understand of windows 8 is there is a bottleneck in it that kills FPS, I've heard as bad as 5-10 fps.

If you bought the computer new ask if they will downgrade it to Windows 7, they did this when Vista came out because it was so bad. If they will install Windows 7 it will be for free as well.

Since my last post I got rid of 8. I am fine now. maybe when 8.1 update comes out everything will be fixed.

Glad to hear you are up and running again, Windows 8 is geared for tablet PC's and that is fine but it does nothing for desktops.

Another rushed OS by Microsoft, seems like every other OS is a fail but they will fix it all eventually.
