running starport on windowed mode on win8 is fine, but put it in fs and it lags like crazy, eventually you end up with less than 10 fps. its really bad. but windowed mode, i sit at my normal 69 fps. thinking its definatly a win 8 issue and not a sge issue. For that, I'd recommend you re-install you...
It should definitely run on Windows 8. In truth Windows doesn't change much from 7 to 8, etc.. Those numbers are basically for marketing new products to their customers, and most of the difference is just in front-end features. Actually, because of a property of relativity called length-contraction, the travel times at near-light speeds are much faster than this article says. However for a stationary observer where the ship took off from, indeed millions of years would pass. But for the people on the ship, when you get to ...
The speed system is probably gonna change a bit soon. Actually flight mods will become obsolete and only thrusting will matter in determining top speed. It's a bit more realistic and it might even improve the smoothness of ship motions. That might have some effect on dexterity. It influences 3 thing...

Mbps is a measure of bandwidth, which is a completely different thing than latency. 300 ms is a latency reading, which is a little high but probably what you'd expect from Cyprus. The bandwidth is good though, you shouldn't have much networking problems with starport. The snap-to feature in Windows ...

Unfortunately, the only joystick/mouse type device I have plugged in is an old logitech trackball and the keyboard is a Saitek Eclipse, both of which I have used successfully with the game in the past. I have gone through and unplugged USB hubs so that the only external things plugged in are the ke...

When loading the game, it can take upwards of several minutes to login and a further 5 minutes or so to actually log in to a server. This ...
Gloin, the option in colony management called "Environmental Research" was made for players to combat pollution in their empires without cleaning or hiring janitors. Are you making the case that the effect of "Environmental Research" is still too weak in comparison to the effect of other workforce o...
