The solution was to play in windowed mode and reduce my screen resolution so that everything is not tiny af.

I have two laptops and old one which has run SGE before without any problem, and a new one which is a 2017 MacBook Pro with Bootcamp Windows. Dave34 made a good argument and it doesn't make sense for npc's the suicide into c.mines but players SHOULD have a way to disarm mines WITHOUT causing damage to themselves, WITHOUT SUICIDING into them. There SHOULD be a weapon or mod or something a player can buy to safely get rid of the mines 1 pop...

Compound Mines In Space should have an expiration date
C.Mines in space last forever until someone pops them. I think that like Lasers in space mines should have some kind of exp date. Lasers are often destroyed by Npc's and thus do not last forever. C.Mines should degrade over time, for example, 1 to 2 weeks.

We have a mod to increase just about everything except for hardware slots. 1x Hardware mod = 1+ Hardware Slot. meaning players can add a maximum of 8 additional slots.
